Vessel “COSCO ANTWERP” Calls at the Port of Lisbon in New Service to Northern Europe
The “Cosco Antwerp,” a vessel of COSCO Shipping Lines’ subsidiary, Diamond Line, made a call today (September 13) at the Port of Lisbon as part of its new NET2 service, which has brought more dynamism to the commercial connections between the capital's port and the UK and Northern Europe markets.
Built in 2001, the “Cosco Antwerp” is 280 meters long, has a beam of 39.80 meters, a gross tonnage of 65,531, and a capacity to carry over 5,000 TEUs.
To mark this voyage, APL was on board, and a commemorative plaque exchange was held with the ship's Captain. The ceremony was also attended by the agent Euronave and Yilport Liscont, the terminal operator.
Having departed from the port of Casablanca, the vessel is currently operating at the Alcântara Container Terminal (Yilport Liscont) and will then proceed to the ports of Le Havre and Felixstowe.
The weekly rotation of the NET2 service stands out for its geographical coverage, including not only European ports but also ports in North Africa and the Middle East.
