Santo Amaro Dock, part of the Lisbon Marina and managed by the Lisbon Port Administration, has been honored with the 'Most Blue Marina 2023' award. This distinction is granted by the Blue Flag Association for Environment and Education (ABAAE) and the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) as recognition for outstanding performance in environmental education activities.
This new award reinforces and highlights the responsibility of the Lisbon Port in ensuring compliance with defined sustainability criteria and objectives, investing in training and awareness initiatives, and promoting awareness campaigns and environmental education actions. The ongoing investment and effort aimed at promoting value-added services aim to enhance the quality of the customer experience while simultaneously ensuring environmental preservation.
"This award is the result of collaborative work with various partners who, in their daily actions, have embraced this challenge in favor of environmental preservation and education. They have significantly contributed to a more sustainable community," emphasizes António Caracol, board member of the Lisbon Port Administration.
The 'Most Blue Marina 2023' award adds to the Blue Flag award that Santo Amaro Dock has consecutively held since 2015.
