Port of Lisbon shortlisted for the ESPO AWARD 2020 with “OCEAN CAMPUS”

The Port of Lisbon is one of the four finalists of the 12th ESPO Award on Social Integration of Ports, whose winner will be announced on the 10th of November, during a special virtual event due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation. The Port of Lisbon Authority (APL) welcomes this appointment with great satisfaction and pride.
ESPO AWARD 2020 is a competition promoted by the European Sea Ports Organization (ESPO), since 2009, to reward innovative projects that improve the social integration of ports, particularly with the surrounding cities or communities.
This year’s theme is "Role of the port in encouraging innovators and local start-ups to be part of the port ecosystem". The winner will be the project that develops the best strategy to attract innovation and local start-ups, successfully combining supply and demand for new solutions, for the port and for its stakeholders.
The “OCEAN CAMPUS” project in the Port of Lisbon competes with those of the Port Authority of Algeciras (Spain), the Port of Amsterdam (Netherlands), and the Puertos del Estado (Spain), which will all be presented on the ESPO website, until the day of the winner's announcement.
