Port of Lisbon relaunches the Photo Challenge

• Prizes for the best photographs
• Minimum age of competitors is 16 years old
• Deadline extended to October 15, 2021

On World Photography Day, and after a suspension of a few months due to confinement, the Port of Lisbon Administration resumes the Photo Challenge "1 port, 2 riverbanks, 11 municipalities, 200Km to photograph", inviting people to photograph the Tagus and its riverbanks, landscapes and singularities of the entire waterfront area.
The deadline for submission of works was extended until October 15, the minimum age of participants was reduced to 16 years and, not less important, a very interesting novelty was added: prizes to distinguish the best works presented!
1st Prize - €1,500.00 and enlarged photo exhibited at Alcântara Maritime Station; 2nd Prize – €700.00; 3rd Prize - €300.00, chosen by a jury appointed by APL. Photographs must be sent for participation to the following email adress: desafio.200km@portodelisboa.pt.
Remember that the Photo Challenge "1 port, 2 riverbanks, 11 municipalities, 200 km to photograph” was launched during the 133rd anniversary of the Port of Lisbon, and initially works could be submitted until March 31, 2021. Due to the pandemic, which discouraged the free movement of people, the initiative was suspended, and it is now resumed, with an extended deadline for the delivery of photographs until October 15, 2021.
There are 200 km of riverbanks and the territories of the eleven municipalities that embrace the Tagus estuary and border the Port of Lisbon: Alcochete, Almada, Barreiro, Benavente, Lisbon, Loures, Moita, Montijo, Oeiras, Seixal and Vila Franca de Xira, are within the reach of a click.
Participants must always identify the geographic points where the images are taken and must have a minimum size of 4252 pixels, on the larger side of the image, with an image size of 300 dpi.

We invite everyone to participate!
