Le Bellot visits Lisbon for the first time

Today, the cruise ship Le Bellot visited Lisbon for the first time, one of the destinations of a 9-night cruise starting in Saint-Malo, calls at Marseille and end in Nice.
Le Bellot, delivered in March 2020, was built at the VARD shipyards in Alesund, Norway, and Tulcea, Romania, and is named after Joseph René Bellot, the French naval officer and Arctic explorer.
With 131 meters in length and 10,700 tons, Le Bellot has a capacity for 118 crew and can accommodate 184 passengers in 92 cabins with a balcony and four suites with panoramic windows and terraces.
Le Bellot is the fifth of six of the Ponant class Explorer series, and like, Le Laperouse, Le Champlain, Le Bougainville and Le Dumont d'Urville, that were in Lisbon on 13th September and 1st November 2018, and 13th June and 28th September 2019, respectively, is equipped with the Blue Eye lounge, an underwater lounge will allow passengers to discover and experience the underwater world that allows passengers through two eye-lookers looking at the sea bed.
The port of Lisbon offered to the Capitan the usual commemorative plaque, and the ship was escorted by Portugs tug boats.
