Sovena, one of the main Portuguese multinationals, received the Fernão de Magalhães Prize for Portuguese-Spanish Cooperation, presented by the Business Council of Andalusia Portugal and the Consulate General of Portugal in Seville.

This award recognizes the special contribution of people or institutions to relations between Portugal and southern Spain, with Sovena being one of the most relevant companies in Andalusia, as it is in the top 10 of the largest exporters in this Spanish region, employing over 400 people .

Sovena, concessionaire for the Palença Bulk Food Terminal, has been present in the port of Lisbon since the 1990s, handling an average of 1 Million Tons of solid bulk per year and having an extractive industrial unit for the production of vegetable oils and biodiesel. It is also the world leader in its own olive oil brands and the largest packer in the Iberian Peninsula for its own vegetable oil brands.
