Port of Lisbon launches second TejoLIVE webcam

Last May, the Port of Lisbon Authority (APL) launched the first webcam of the TejoLIVE project from the VTS Building, in Algés. It is a free 24/7 service that provides images and a global view between the 25 de Abril Bridge and the approach area to the port of Lisbon, ensuring a privileged view of the Tagus River.
This time, Cacilhas was the location chosen to install the second TejoLIVE webcam, which captures images covering the area between the 25 de Abril Bridge and the Vasco da Gama Bridge, including the port terminals on the north bank of the port of Lisbon, offering a wide view of the river and of both banks. It allows you to watch not only the movement of ships entering and leaving the port, but also to check on weather and sea conditions, or to watch nautical events of public interest.
The port of Lisbon and the Tagus estuary, the largest wetland in Western Europe, are the common thread that links 11 municipalities, which have been twinned for centuries with the experience of their people. TejoLIVE is an initiative of APL that will strengthen this link, constituting a service open to the community, to support the development of initiatives in the educational, sports, cultural and leisure areas.
