Ports of Lisbon and Setúbal make presence for the second time at Breakbulk Europe

The Ports of Lisbon and Setúbal will be present, for the second time, at one of the main global fairs dedicated to the project cargo and breakbulk sector, Breakbulk Europe, in Rotterdam, from May 21st to 23rd. Annually, this event brings together more than 11,000 professionals from various sectors, represented by about 600 exhibitors from 126 countries. It is a networking platform, a true stage to consolidate and enhance business. The aspects of sustainability and innovation are increasingly present, as they are crucial for the development of ports and the entire supply chain. According to the board member of the Administration Council of the Ports of Lisbon and Setúbal, Isabel Moura Ramos, 'In addition to promoting the two ports serving the Lisbon metropolitan area, as well as their extended hinterland and various connections to European and American markets, which attest to their competitive positioning, this event is also an excellent opportunity to follow the latest market trends in innovation and sustainability, areas in which we have made a significant investment with the creation of the TagusInnov accelerators in Lisbon and SadoInnov in Setúbal, as well as the investment in Smart monitoring projects.' The participation of the Ports of Lisbon and Setúbal is part of the commercial mission of the APP - Ports Association of Portugal, under the brand Portugal Ports, which also includes representations of the ports of Viana do Castelo, Leixões, Aveiro, Figueira da Foz, and Sines. Alongside the representation of national ports, the ETE Group and Yilport Iberia, which operate various terminals in Portuguese ports, are also present at this event. Shipping companies such as Wec Lines, logistics operators such as Mind4Logistics, and promoters of other services such as Alkion and Galp, which focus on the fuels and bunkering market, among others, are also present.
