APL – Administração do Porto de Lisboa, S.A. (Lisbon Port Authority) approved, in a board meeting on August 1, 2024, the Integrity Plan, as established by Law-decree No. 109-E/2021, which defines the general regime for preventing corruption in the public sector. This Plan reinforces APL's commitment to ethics and transparency, consolidating internal control and prevention mechanisms that promote an environment of integrity throughout its operations.

Although APL already complied with the minimum requirements of the Management Risk Prevention Plan, including corruption risks and related infractions, the implementation of this new plan underlines its ongoing effort to ensure that illicit practices are actively fought against. Integrity, as a core value, is seen as fundamental to strengthen stakeholder trust, promoting the safety and efficiency of port operations.

The Integrity Plan goals are:

1. Consolidate the commitment to a governance model based on the highest ethical standards.

2. Prevent, detect and respond to any form of corruption or infraction, ensuring an honest and ethical work environment.

3. Ensure that all APL activities comply with current legislation, established values and principles.

The integrity policy is appliable to all APL workers, partners and service providers, binding them to the established ethical principles and values. It includes mechanisms to ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory provisions, as well as commitments made to third parties.

APL thus reiterates its commitment to maintaining high standards of governance, ensuring legal compliance and contributing to long-term sustainability, while promoting the responsible and ethical management of public resources.

This new plan is a crucial step to ensure that all the organization decisions and processes remain aligned with the highest standards of transparency, ethics and responsibility, further consolidating the institution's credibility before its customers, partners and the community.

With this measure, APL displays its firm commitment to being an honest and responsible organization, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the principles of the UN Global Compact.
