“1 port, 2 riverbanks, 11 municipalities, 200km to photograph”
To celebrate World Photography Day, August 19, we relaunch the Photo Challenge, aimed at all citizens, to photograph the riverbanks, landscapes and details of the waterfront area of the Port of Lisbon. Participants have 200 km of riverbanks to photograph, and must always identify the geographical points where the images are captured.
"1 port, 2 riverbanks, 11 municipalities, 200 km to photograph" is the name of this photographic challenge, which, through the eyes of the participants will show the Port of Lisbon from multiple perspectives and with much inspiration, we are sure.
The Port's jurisdiction borders the territories of the eleven municipalities that embrace the Tagus Estuary: Alcochete, Almada, Barreiro, Benavente, Lisbon, Loures, Moita, Montijo, Oeiras, Seixal and Vila Franca de Xira.
The best photo chosen by the Port of Lisbon will be enlarged and exhibited at the Alcântara Maritime Station and the set of photos of all competitors can be seen in 2021, on the Port of Lisbon's portal.
We invite everyone to participate!
