Breakbulk cargo is mainly handled at two multipurpose terminals located on the North bank of the River Tagus – the Beato Multipurpose Terminal and the Poço do Bispo Multipurpose Terminal – and the Barreiro Terminal on the South bank.

The container terminals also move, in a residual manner, some fractioned cargo.

Amongst products handled at the Port of Lisbon highlight goes to the roles of paper, aluminium, iron, scrap and fruit.
