Hanseatic Inspiration arrives in Lisbon on her maiden voyage
On October 21st, Lisbon will be the destination of the 15-day maiden cruise of Hanseatic Inspiration, starting in Antwerp, finishing in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and calling in Honfleur, Guernsey, La Coruna, Cies Islands, Lisbon, Portimão, Casablanca, Porto Santo and Funchal.
The latest and second of three new luxury expedition ships from the German company Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has just been built on the VARD Shipyards in Alesund, Norway, and Tulcea, Romania, and christened on October 11th in Hamburg, by her godmother Laura Dekker, the youngest person to circumnavigate the globe alone.
With 138 meters in length and 16 100 tons, the Hanseatic Inspiration has a capacity of 170 crew and can accommodate 230 passengers in 120 cabins.
The Port of Lisbon will offer to the Capitan the usual commemorative plaque, and the ship will be escorted by Svitzer tugboats.
