
Atlantic Alliance Convenes in Lisbon
A meeting of the international project, “Atlantic Alliance” took place 1 July on board the vessel “Lisboa Vista do Tejo”.
The Port of Lisbon is a founding member in conjunction with 14 other Atlantic ports. The main objective of the project is to promote the Atlantic as a destination for cruise ships, due to the excellence of its cities, the rich history and cultural diversity as well as the gastronomy, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy unique and diverse experiences on one trip.
The agenda included, among other matters, the approval of the budget for 2010 and the decision on marketing measures to be implemented in 2010.
The Organization of the “Atlantic Alliance” is promoting holding meetings at different ports so as to give participants the opportunity to discover the reality of the various partners, thus promoting an exchange of experiences.
