These infrastructures allow the port of Lisbon to receive all types of ships, assuring them that all safety requirements requested at international level are met.

Following the signing of the Public Service Concession Agreement for the cruise activity in the Lisbon Cruise Terminal celebrated on July 17, 2014 between APL and LCT - Lisbon Cruise Terminals (LCT), a consortium made up of Global Liman Isletmeleri AS, Grupo Sousa Investimentos SGPS Ld.ª, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Creuers del Port de Barcelona SA, since August 26, 2014, LCT has been managing the cruise activity in the port of Lisbon.

Access to port facilities
Within the scope of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, access to cruise terminals is restricted. Entrance shall only be allowed when previously authorised
