The port of Lisbon features cruise terminals located near the historical and cultural centre of the city, affording visitors easy and quick access to places of great tourist affluence. These infrastructures allow the port of Lisbon to receive all types of ships, assuring them that all safety requirements requested at international level are met.
Following the signing of the Public Service Concession Agreement for the cruise activity in the Lisbon Cruise Terminal celebrated on July 17, 2014 between APL and LCT - Lisbon Cruise Terminals (LCT), a consortium made up of Global Liman Isletmeleri AS, Grupo Sousa Investimentos SGPS Ld.ª, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Creuers del Port de Barcelona SA, since August 26, 2014, LCT has been managing the cruise activity in the port of Lisbon.
